But almost in the available Persian sources, they have not used the word Yas for it. This plant, which is abundantly planted on the walls of houses, fences and urban green spaces, is native to East Asia and there is no documented information about its arrival in Iran. The scientific name of this plant is not well known in Persian botanical books, vocabulary and cultures. It is usually considered equal to the honeysuckle plant (L caprifolium Lonicera), which belongs to the same genus. This situation can be seen in dictionaries and dictionaries of the Persian language. Although the words Yasman and Yasmeen are repeated in the texts of traditional medicine and ancient Iranian literature, especially in the poems of poets, except in contemporary sources and texts, there is rarely a trace of the word Yas.

Jasmine flower propagation:

This plant can be propagated using stem cuttings, in this method, 10 cm long cuttings are taken in early summer and planted in a moist bed. It is also very easy to lay down the branch, it is enough to bend the stem of the plant and put a part of it under the soil and pour soil on it so that it will take root in a matter of time. After that, this branch can be separated from the mother plant and planted as an independent plant. After planting in the pot, tap the tip of the main stem so that the side stems grow and the plant becomes a bush. Flowering of new plants may begin in the second year. Other methods of jasmine propagation include planting seeds or separating the shoots from the mother plant in spring.
