Summary of this course:

Ostriches are a unique species in many ways. And this has caused a lot of attention to be paid to it in recent years. For example, its egg compared to other eggs Birds is the biggest egg. And it can weigh 1-2 kilograms. But in comparison with the size of the bird, the ostrich has the smallest egg among birds. The ostrich is the largest living bird on earth, which can reach a height of about 2.5 meters and a weight of 150 kilograms. This bird is a native of Africa and from this point it has been transferred to other countries of the world. The inability of this bird to fly makes the ostrich spend most of its time walking in its living environment and even start running at a speed of 60-70 km when scared. And for this, he stores a high share of the energy he needs in his tendons. In terms of leg anatomy, this bird is unique compared to other birds. And it is the only bird in the world that has two of the four main fingers. They are called the third and fourth fingers. And this feature differentiates ostriches from other broad chests that have three toes (except Kiwi which has 4 toes). The wings of ostriches are not very developed and their sternum is broad and has no keel. Of course, despite the inability to fly, the structure of the wing bones and the presence of air sacs and air ducts in the bones, this theory is proposed that the ostrich had ancestors with the ability to fly.
