Methods of mulberry seedling production:

Ecological needs of mulberry:

Irrigation: All mulberry species require a lot of water in the places where they are planted, they should receive at least 600 mm of rain annually, uniformly throughout the year. year so that artificial irrigation is not needed. Seedlings need more water at the beginning of cultivation and when they are young, and they should be watered once or twice a week, but gradually as the trees age, their water needs decrease. In low water areas, old trees should be watered at least once every 10 to 15 days. Soil: Loamy sandy soils are very suitable for the growth of mulberry trees. Mixing the soil with decayed plant materials such as leaves, i.e. humus, allows the soil to breathe and the bacteria present in it allow more and better interactions. to give Lands that are not permeable to water and retain moisture for a long time and are crossed are absolutely not suitable for planting mulberry trees. Also, mulberries should not be planted in soils that are closed and cracked due to sunlight. In clay soils where air permeability is low (cold soils), the growth of mulberry trees is irregular and very slow. The mulberry tree shows good growth in neutral soils, so it can be considered as one of the neutral-friendly plants. The best pH for it is between 6 and 7.
