Basically, it can be said that there is a kind of trade-off in negotiations. That is, one of the parties is at the top of the negotiations and the other party agrees to its demands in exchange for receiving concessions. The parties to the negotiations can change. For example, a negotiation may take place between a buyer and a seller, but another negotiation may take place between an employer and an employee.
