The researcher looks at his surroundings with a critical and scrutinizing look and provides reliable information to the people in charge of solving the problems of the society and providing the best practical solutions. A successful researcher has a curious and scrutinizing look at the phenomena around him. He is sensitive to what is happening around him and has a dynamic and questioning mind. His inquiring mind is always in the direction of finding new answers to existing questions. This course is designed to be practical. The theoretical knowledge that forms the research method is therefore structured around the operational steps that constitute the research process for both quantitative and qualitative research. I have taken the very bold step of breaking down the wall between qualitative and quantitative research by describing both methods parallel to each other in a common framework, if possible.
