This job is from the field of strategic technologies, health, Iranian medicine and medicinal plants regarding: appropriate explant and tissue, selection of suitable disinfection method for explant with minimum tissue damage and contamination control, selection of cultivation environment and appropriate environmental conditions depending on the purpose of reproduction. Choosing the propagation method to have the maximum number of plants in the shortest time is important to solve the problems of propagation of medicinal plants that are at risk of extinction with the best in vitro cultivation methods with commercial-economic application. This job is related to the user of tissue culture and cultivation of medicinal plants.

Plant tissue culture:

Plant tissue culture means “plant cell, organ and tissue culture in an artificial culture environment under sterile conditions”. For tissue culture, first a sample must be prepared and transferred to the culture environment. Samples can be obtained from different parts of the plant, such as leaves, stems, roots, petioles, petals, etc.

Advantages of plant tissue culture:

One of the advantages of tissue culture is the mass and rapid production of a desired cultivar or cultivars. It is new. In plants, the seeds produced are not exactly the same as their mother plant. Also, these seeds are different from each other. So, if a desirable plant is selected by farmers in a region and they prepare seeds from it, there is no guarantee that the sprouted seeds will have the desired characteristics. Also, many plants cannot be propagated by the usual methods such as cuttings. But by using tissue culture methods, a large number of a desired plant can be prepared in a short time.
